Lois Landry
Lois Landry is a retired educator who has served as a psychologist, teacher, guidance counsellor, and school administrator—primarily in the Strait Region. She has always believed in the importance of community schooling and considers herself fortunate to have spent the majority of her career working in schools where she grew up.

Lois has one son, Frankie, who was diagnosed with autism at age two and later with epilepsy as a teenager. While her advocacy for persons with disabilities began before Frankie’s arrival, her passion for supporting vulnerable individuals deepened as a result of her experiences as a parent.
She currently chairs the Ark Board at L’Arche Cape Breton and sits on the Eastern Regional Advisory Council.
As the Human Rights Remedy is implemented, Lois has taken a strong interest in the intersection of disability rights and housing. She briefly served as Special Advisor to the Minister of Community Services and is now the Warden of the Municipality of the County of Richmond.
