Muhammed Asrath, Paro Thodukayil 

Muhammed Asrath is a community service worker with more than 10 year leading experience at grassroot as well as at national level in his home country India. He did his Masters in Community Development. He has been working with various non profit organisations and government agencies. He is also a founding member and director of a couple of organisations and social enterprises providing disability support and rehabilitation services. In Nova Scotia he worked as an Educational Program Assistant with Halifax Regional Centre for Education (HRCE). He has volunteering experience with Red Cross Canada also. Currently he is working as a Residential Support Worker with Independent living Nova Scotia. He is also government nominated Board Memeber to Nova Scotia College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists (NSCASLP) and Review Board under the Involuntary Psychiatric Treatment Act. Muhammed is doing another Bachelor in Social Work from Dalhousie University and aspires to be a professional social worker with special focus on the disability domain and inclusion. He is in the process of promoting his own non-profit organisation Rayan Foundation by supporting people with disabilities from most deserving communities and by sharing resources between the countries.
