Meet Meghan Sheehy
NSACL Inclusion Facilitator
As an English Language Arts and Social Studies teacher, Meghan has worked in a variety of alternative learning environments over the past five years. She developed a passion for hands on learning and outdoor education in an alternative high school where she supported students who struggled in the traditional school system. She continued her passion for supporting youth experiencing barriers to education as a therapeutic classroom teacher at Adolescent Intensive Services at the IWK. Most recently, Meghan worked as the Achieve Program Assistant at NSCC Lunenburg campus.
Meghan also holds a Bachelor of Public Relations and has worked in a variety of communications settings in both non and for-profit work environments. She believes in the importance of developing healthy and meaningful social relationships, an individualized approach to education, connecting with our communities, living an active lifestyle and stepping safely, but always a little outside our comfort zones from time to time - it’s where the magic happens!
As NSACL’s Inclusion Facilitator, Meghan is responsible for family leadership, support, family advocacy, and facilitation of programs. Part of her role includes facilitating the Life Transitions program. Welcome to NSACL, Meghan!
