Our outreach program works closely with Ready, Willing & Able (RWA) to help

people who want to find jobs in the community. We believe that people with

disabilities can be successful at many different kinds of jobs. We are here to help you find the right job for you!

We will help you find a job at a place that hires people with different abilities. When these places want to hire new people, we will receive their job posting. Through RWA we have a list of workplaces that we trust because:

• They understand that everyone is different and important to the workplace.

• They let you have the support you need to do your job.

• They pay people who do the same job the same amount of money, no matter what disability they have.

How does our Outreach Program work?

• First, you sign up for our database. Your name and information will go on a list of people looking for jobs. You can sign up for our database here on our website. If you have any problems, please contact us at outreach@inclusionns.ca or (902) 469-1174 (then press 2), and we will help you.

• Next, we will follow up with you either by email or phone call and arrange a time to meet (either in-person or online) to learn more about you and the help you might need when you are at your job. We will talk with you about what kinds of jobs you like to do. You can bring a family member or friend with you to help you talk about jobs with her if you want to.

• Then, we will make a connection with one of our partner job centres. The job centre will work with Inclusion NS and RWA to help you get ready for a job.

​

We will stay in touch with you (and your family) to make sure that everything is going well. We like to include your family and friends when we are working with you if possible.
